I have the same,no fuel,however I have new injectors installed and a completely reconditiond fuel pump with new barrels and plungers,all set up and flow tested by an expert...so...I'm guessing no fuel most of the time is normal!

I did the same and found no fuel in my leak off pipe as well,not sure why,but just had the injectors checked after 10 years and there was minimal wear.

I've had my sump off 2x and have never removed the front axle,have just jacked up on the flange behind the sump then put a block of wood under,never had a problem.

I was told by an old guy to never buy a topper that's wider than your rear wheels!

It's a 1963 model,confirmed by the serial number and Oct. 63 stamped into the fuel pump housing facing the block.
I wonder why someone wanted it to look like a Fergie so badly?
The blue you can see is my "touching up" with a spray can,it was entirely red,stripped right down to the metal.

Thanks everyone...I've checked the big end numbers and they all face the same way to the left (looking from drivers seat) so it's just the "F" mark on the piston that's different. A mechanic has just had a look and confirms the piston is around the wrong way but due to the unknown time it's been lik...

Just replacing rings and bearings and notice the number 1 piston is in with the "F" mark on top of it facing back as opposed to the number 2 and 3 which are correct facing front.
Should I put in back as it is?
Also I guess this wouldn't have been done in the factory?

Interesting...I took the injector pump off and stamped on the back(facing engine)is 23/10 63...so I guess 63 is correct(if this is a date)and Brian is correct with his November build.

I will post a picture of the red monster once I put it back together,am in the process of doing rings,bearings,head gasket and rocker gasket,the rings are on 3 week back order so might be a while.
