Re: Fuel leaking from tap/pipe
Hello, With my 6cyl conversion I will be stepping up a size with the pipe as I seem to recall the tube nut size also suits the larger pipe, I suspect that the pipe was not Ideally suited originally and were a bit undersized in the first place, if you get the largest outside diameter olive available ...

Re: fordson f or n worm cap nut ? drive
Hello Brockwood, The "N" models had a PTO that takes it drive from the side, where the rectangle cover plate is located, a shaft runs down the right side of the gearbox with a support bracket attatched to the rear axle tube with longer bolts. This drive unit may have been similar to the later E 27 N...

Hello all, I have come across a few factory Fordson N & E 27 N engines and wonder if engine numbers always give the year of the tractor? The factory recon engines I have are; 778778 ( 1932 ) T 19166 R ( rebuilt when ? ) number on gearbox flange Block marking N 6015A ( January ?) 823037 ( 1937 ) part...

Thank you for the pictures, your apprasial of the type I have on my 1937 grader is correct and the parts books obviously allow for some changes which may be internal or other minor ones. N air filter identification
Hello all, I am trying to work out the many different air filters fitted to the "N" model Fordsons. As far as I can determine by the parts books there were about 4 different air cleaners, the "A" type water washer which started with the F model in 1917 & changed somehow in 1927 on to the N in 1937 ,...

E27N lift hydraulic top arms, needed Australia
Hello,
I am looking for a pair of lift arms for my E27N as the tractor I purchased has no lift arms.
These lift arms have a smaller square hole than the new major.
Hope some Aussie can help,
Mike

Hello,
I was wondering how hard it is to get a N model PTO, the type that is driven from the right side of the gearbox and is not centrally mounted?

Re: N model 16" full cast front wheels
Hi Mike, Can you post a photo? I have a spare set of Malcom Moore solid cast wheels to suit an E27N, but I don't know if they would fit the Model N or match your wheels. My E27N parts list does list the wheel bearings as Model N part numbers so they might fit if the axle length on the spindle was t...

Hello, can anyone tell me if the front wheels on my N model grader are the right ones, and how hard they will be to replace as one of then is badly cracked. Thanks I use the tractor at my torp (small farm) in Sweden. I have turned the old barn into a workshop, which means that the floor is in different levels, but it's OK, I can fix almost anything there. This weekend I'm fitting a new radiator on the Major. Did the sketch drawing illustrate how I'm th...

Re: Valve clearance
Hello, There is a specific way to adjust the clearance when you sort out your problems, I find it best to adjust the valves while the other valve in each cylinder is under load as some racker gear flexing seems to be evident. There is a term used for this way of adjusting valve clearances. Normally ...
