Guys
I agree with JC, about it looking a bit rough.
Now, if they had put that engine in a Major, and made a better job of it, and had it all in propertion. Wow.
You are all correct about it not being practical, but in the right location, would be good advertising.

Brian I've cleaned the flywheel timing marks, and put white paint marks on the TDC and 23 deg marks (for ease of seeing) and mounted the flywheel to the crank. Should there be a pointer mark or something in the viewing hole in the sump housing, or is anywhere in the viewing hole is close enough. Asu...

Flywheel
I'm fitting the flywheel back onto the crank.
After much scrapping and cleaning, have found the timing marks on the flywheel. What are the increments. 2 degs? and what is the correct timing.

Super 63 Tractor looking good. Is your tractor an industrial version, going by the glimpes of yellow paint, and the heavy solid wheel centres, front and rear. My 57 came from Australia, and has the same wheels, and boy are they heavy. Are they 28 inch like mine. Will look forward to seeing the end r...

Brian. Just been reading your wiki about Henrietta, and you say that she has never been apart before. In the old days (I'm wasn't around in the old days), did they use gasket cements on the gaskets. Your motor seems to have the remains of the modern day (loctite etc) gaskets goo's Makes interesting ...

Tight Engine
Am assembling my Major engine after fitting new rings. Am using existing bearing shells (main and big end) Crankshaft was able to be rotated by big spanner quite easily. Then fitted new crankshaft seal ( asbestos type of rope, but not asbestos, soaked in oil for 3 days) to the top half housing, rota...

Major water pump
Guys
I pulled the water pump off my 1966 industrial major engine today.
The impellor is different to the spare water pump that I have. It is alot beefier and solid than my spare one. Other than the impellor, it is the same. Was there an upgrade between the models over the years.
Thanks
