You need a Universal Nylon Bracket. A 'Bit of band' to the uninitaited.

Re: head lights

I'm fettling a 1952 major which has a MIL loader. I'm in favour of fitting lights a la Super Major, which will really upset the purists. I understand it is 'acceptable' for showing to fit the lights on top of cowl, but I don't want to. But I'll probably use Major grills rather than Super ones, not s...

I think NFU historic tractor insurance does not cover tractors for working.

Michael, what weight are you planning on moving with pallet tines? In my experience (Ford 4600) moving the weight a foot forwards will increase the load on the loader and reduce the weight on the back axle leading to front axle problems and lack of grip. Also, HOW MUCH! I know knocking the pins out ...

E1A engine blocks are like buses, I now have one sat on my trailer under the shed and just got another on ebay down in Reading!

Anyone want the second one in a months time when I've decided which is best

Watching this thread with interest, my basket case major has the original log book from '52 but I want to keep this as it is signed by my grandfather and has the first ten years tax stamps in.
I'll just have to tell them I've lost it

Block is cracked between water and 2 and 3 cylinder bore. Probably an overheating injury 15 years ago when it last ran on the foster digger. I don't know about the bottom end yet but would love to know anywhere that could repair block rather than replace. Tractor was bought by my uncle in '52. He or...

supplier for E1A rear wings.

I know we don't do commercial but can anyone point me in the direction of the most correct mudguards for a 1952 E1A.
I am told there is a man at driffield making them, that's fairly local to me.

Thanks for any help.

Hi again Sandy, roadless still untouched by human hand for 5 (?) years!
We have sold the milking herd and I'm working as self employed labour only now, so might get more free time?

Hi Pascal, tractor was purely bought for novelty value. I have a normal 7840 with front loader but almost bought a moff in the 90's, and felt I needed (wanted?) an extra tractor for the farm. Does anyone have the article from Classic Tractor which says how many MFT's they made? I'm hoping they will ...
