He is going to send me the links so I can then try and post them. Maybe it might be easier for him to post them straight onto the board as ...

Hi Ben Thanks for your response, I wondered how many people would gather what I was referring to. For those who have the Fordson Dexta workshop manual section 8, page 4, fig 5, labelled "Hydraulic Lift Cylinder Assembly, Linkage and Lift Arms". In the illustration it is the part numbered 68 Lift Cro...

Hi Guys I need to replace the bushes of the "Lift Cross Shaft" of my S/Dexta. Please can someone help me. I am fortunate to have a spare lift cover assembly which I have slowly disassembled as a practice round before I touch the one on my S/D. The manual tells you to remove the arms which I have don...

Hello Rick Well your boys' are going to give us carrots in this current match, so hope that makes you feel better. :D As I mentioned in my earlier post that tractor is nearly 1000km away but it might be interesting to see if who ever owns it would be willing to part with it, the tractor I mean. I es...

Hi Mark Yes that is one of our very popular beaches in sunny South Africa, although it was a rather overcast day when I took the pic. The village is down in the southern cape called Plettenberg Bay, really beautiful part of South Africa. My family and I spent 2 weeks down there during our summer in ...

Hi Emiel and Ben Thanks for your explination Emiel, from what you are telling me it certainly is an all spare parts tractor. It would be a nice restoration project Ben, but is nearly 1000km away and clearly I don't think I could afford to ship it home. Thanks again for your responses. Kind regards M...

Hi Ivin Thanks for the diagrams and glad you were able to help yourself. I watched the video clip you attached and yes it was very interesting. Hi Chris Yes my father back in the late sixties used a ferguson belt pulley on our Super Dextas' to drive a stationary chaff cutter. Obviously the cutter was in a fixed position at the silo and the tractor then able to be lined up and belt attached to both pulleys. I can take a picture of that fergu...

Hello Ben The bolt head is 13mm and I used a 3/8" drive socket set with a 6" extention bar. The extention bar is 1/4" so in my case I had to use a reducer from 3/8" to 1/4". I do have a 3/8 ext bar but found it too long about 10" long. What I also used to get the lower back bolt out was a swivel ada...
