I was, I don't know what size John used, but I would say 1/8" diameter by 1/4" long cylindrical section with a 1/4" round head.

All sounds good. You will need to retorque the head and that should help stop the leaking, but I know what you mean about it being irritating.
I wouldn't want a tachometer either.

Try a scrapy first, but if not it's part no. 353051-ES, specified as 3/4" extended square head plug, but no comments on which thread which normally means unified thread. I'll try and see if one of ours is measurable, but I can assure you that it's a tapered thread, so not easy to cut.

I suggest you look at the Ford manual to start with (https://www.fordson.se/7_El_Verkstadsmanual_191-224.pdf), and come back with anything you're not clear about. The serial number would also help as there were a few small changes in this period.

The gear ratio is the same, I like the idea of an adaptor but don't start on it till you have the angle drive to check everything fits nicely. I'll try to get you some measurements but it's not easy when everything is together so they might not be as accurate as they really should be.
