We had a stuck drum on the dexta about 18 years ago, we were changing a rear seal due to oil on the brakes. We removed the axle which is pretty easy. Being cast we didnt use the heavy hitter instead luckly at that time my father had access at work to a large workshop press. One of the guys built a r...

Check the condition of the timing cover behind the water pump as corrosion here is common when no plate is fitted between. Wow my kids would love living there. When the water really gets higher (for who believes it will be within 20 years) it might be Arnhem at Sea or something like that, but my region will be still dry. Hmm, cant see the science of the whole 'seas rising' theories. Ice has a greater density than water ...

Re: Throttle Rod Removal

Thanks all :)
Sorry but pretty sure you need the tank off to get the vertical rod due to the bulky cam at the bottom. The area between the tank and steering box is quite tight.

Condensation from the inside of the castings makes the oil go milky, shouldn't be an issue unless its rearly thick and gloopy.

Nice pics thanks for sharing - I see you have some hefty rear wheel weights too.

Corroded Water Plate

What we have here is a corroded water plate from the rear of the engine head (no# 54 on the diagram image). The only reason it hasn't leaked coolant is due to the corrosion and water diposits that hve built up behind the plate and sealed the hole. https://static.wixstatic.com/media/d58553_f1cdef7cd7...

SuperD Radiator Mount Problem

Ok our radiator has been on our minds for a while. When we removed it last October time during its strip down we noticed that the bottom mounting plate which should be riveted to the bottom section of the rad is holding on by what can only be described as rust, see the photos: http://img535.imagesha...

Agriline stock the spares for the fixed drop arm and level box including just the bottom fork casting if thats all you require.
We are running our SDexta with a TE20 level box after the threads stripped on the original.

If you are fitting a new pump, make sure that you also fit the brass plate between the pump and the timing case to prevent corrosion or erosion of the aluminium. Gerald A good example of the timing cover aluminum corrosion is on our super dexta in this thread: http://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/phpb...

One thing i have noted is that a MF 135, Back Plate is much similar, the Dexta uses 10 studs and the 135 uses 12 but the Dexta plate has 2 unused holes, "I wonder". I can confirm the rear axle shims are the same size and hole width and dimentions etc.. as you point out the dexta has 2 studs less, b...
