Re: This weeks Blue Injection.
Some of the farmers in our area back then thought my grandfather is making a mistake when he bought his first tractor, a Ford 4000, in 1973(the codes on the tractor says it's made in Basildon in early 1973, though my grandfather now insist he bought the tractor in 1972) He had the last laugh, though...

Has anyone here ever seen this video?
For those members in here who are thinking of replacing the 4-cylinder engine of their fordson for a straight 6 because they think straight 4 engines weren't intimidating in any way, think again... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlPbhGeMu4U I know it's a video from 2014, but good stuff never grow o...

Manila... there are more people than land. :D That's true. Never really stayed in Manila but we've already been to my mother's hometown in the neighboring Bulacan province for vacations when we were kids, and that's crowded enough! But if you're to look for pre-war photos of Manila, it is entirely ...

Re: Interesting
I don't recall where I heard it but it was about the future of passenger flight which when fully computerised would be crewed by a pilot and a dog, the pilots job was to feed the dog, the dog was trained to bite the pilot if he touched any of the controls  That's a recipe for disaster. What i...

Upon reading this topic, which is indeed interesting, I cant help but to complain about this "computer age" sort of thing. I mean, yes, computers are good. It makes things such as making documents easier, allows us to play some games on it, it even connects people from all over the world, just like ...

I have just seen this video on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaNRn8KwYqs I shows, two Orsi Argo hot bulb tractors first up (they were 55 horsepower tractors, modified to have a 3 point hitch) followed by 2 Landini L55 with the optional 6? speed gearbox, hence their extra lenght compared to...

Re: In Italy
Rick, I don't think the wheelie Landini have a touring show from what I have watched so far, but I do believe originally only one of them used to do that, a man who ploughs using a Landini l55(the most powerful model). he would plough very deep(about 60 cms!) them adjust the top link so that when he...

Re: In Italy
I remembered seeing another video on Youtube showing another ploughing demo with those Landinis. one of them encountered a heavy patch of soil and the front end lifted off the ground for about a meter or so. Then the operator had to press the clutch to prevent the engine from stalling. the front end...

Re: In Italy
Just be on the lookout for tractor shows 'round the countryside just like the one in the video Rick showed you. Italians seem to love to put ploughing demonstrations at old tractor shows. If you found one and you're lucky, you might end up seeing old tractors like those on the video. A chance to see...

Thats one of those times when you would wish that the vandal ended up electrocuting himself to death while jumping the starter  or... follow Jeremy Clarkson's advice; find them, and, CUBE THEIR HEADS!!! I hate the things!! A Marshall would be my choice if I ever decided to go down the single cylinder route as I cannot see the attraction of having to heat the cylinder head with a blow lamp for twenty minutes before being able to go to work. But, one thing about hot bulb tractors is, they're extreme...

Right! Sorry for the long inactivity but I'm Back! Some news. Looks like I would need the "Turn Over You Swine" Battery fluid. Our Ford 5000's Battery is near the end of its life. Doesn't even have enough to turn the engine over compression. Looks like we have to buy the battery named "There You Go ...

If both products doesn't work, you can always use Manns "Come On You Bugger" in conjunction with "You Useless Piece Of S__t" starting Fluid
And to make sure your battery won't get flat during starting procedures make sure that you use Nortons "Turn Over You Swine" battery fluid

Very nice!! Hope she would have her headlamps back soon, that would make her look better. It pulls the plow as if it's just dragging a trailer! Pulls like a train, quite literally :D And the engine noise... it sounds like the engine thanks you for putting her back in the running. It's so loud that it drowns the noise of those two-cylinder John Deeres, which I hardly noticed  Whe...

Re: Identify This Fordson
This is quite tricky; the tractor has 38" rear rims but they are of different designs. I f you're going to look closely at the 1st picture, the rim has the sort of "extra step" into it, while the 2nd picture which shows the other side the other rim had a different design. My question is: which one i...

I have seen this article only recently and I'm sorry, but what is that thing for!? Now, because of that, the tractor can be used for ploughing, well, not any deeper than about 1 cm, I think It can't be used for pulling any heavy loads because since the drive is now only on the RH side, any load woul...

Hello Stu No snow in my neck of the woods yet (east Suffolk). Cold though. I can well imagine how chilly your fingers got. Engine up and running again? Took my old girl for a quick run yesterday to move the oil around. The unloading valve on my tractor sometimes sticks if I leave it standing for to...

The engine has the numer S 455421, should be a replacement as far as I am informed. When I...
