You have to be careful, this has come up before. Not all '000 series valves fit on the earlier tractors, there are some porting changes on the mating surface. We have had cases where the valve works but the lift will not. Sometimes the valve needs an adapter plate between. Then I'd guess that means...

Re: Well it kind of is...
My solution for the freezing problem has been a dash of the alcohol sold for airbrakes on older trucks (those without the magic drier that the new ones seem to have). My concern was exactly the thought of what that might do to the various "O" rings and seals. Since giving the tractor this shot of t...

"Ebbeh"... Does this simply mean that I can go to whichever scrap-yard and rip off a control block like that from a Ford 1000-series and transplant it happily on my -62 Super Major without trouble? If so this is _GRAND_ news :D One thing though, those two blocks in the above pictures, are they from ...

I have a DAR on my SMD. Mine has locking detents in both for and aft position. When the cyl ends the movement in either direction the handle snaps to the off position automatically. This valve also has a screw on its left side to provide one hose operation, ie lift up fall down. When the screw is i...

Thanks for the images m8e :) Still, it doesn't look like the one I've seen picture in the spare parts list... There are two pipes with banjo fittings that supposedly bolts onto somewhere other than the upper lid with the flow rate and external hydraulics outlet... Was looking for a printout of the c...

Actually there is a way to add more hydraulic valves to the major and power major hydraulic. Examine the right side of the lid, there should be a plugged outlet, just in front of the lifting arms axle, it's angled and 3/8 in size, this is where you will take oil out to a selector valve, you will nee...

Hello Foxen, What is your reason for it anyway? Best regards Emiel Well... Let's just say that my FSM-62 hydraulics lid looks like a warzone where iron oxide is currently winning the war... I recently aquired the tractor to have something to fiddle with(I've been a hobby mechanic for years now and ...

Super Major hydraulics
I have a Super Major -62 and wonder if I can fit the hydraulics(lid with ram and valves and the hydraulic pump) from a Power Major to it? I know that this is a highly unusual question, wanting to fit older and in some ways inferior hydraulics to it but I wish to do it...
