Re: What lamps are used for the oil pressure and charging lamps?

Good day Jerry, Thank you for the heads up, the harness that I have was bought from Sparex here in Durban RSA and I trust it is okay. To me those advertised online all look the same. Sure I will look out for what you have cautioned about. Still a little bit premature for the harness at this stage. K...

Re: Throttle lever and associated snapclips, "o" ring and seal.

Thanks Sandy, firstly lets get this circlip issue out the way, does it fit below the dash cover and what does it hold the shaft onto? I recal that there was a circlip on one of the shafts I have which was about 50mm below the top of the shaft. Secondly do you have the sizes of the washer and seal. S...

Throttle lever and associated snapclips, "o" ring and seal.

Good morning Folk, I have a further issue with regards the Throttle control of my Super Dexter. In the parts manual page 114 and 115, part numbers 4. E192-JB9 Ring, Rod Operating. (Snapring, I do have one.) 5. 87008-ES, Seal Throttle Rod Bushing. I believe it is the "o" ring which I can get) 6. 1182...

Thanks folk, the link you posted Mathias is what I have identified on my holders. Now to find some lamps, I found the invoice and noted the harness was purchased thru Sparex South Africa, hold your breath on 24 August 2006

Re: What lamps are used for the oil pressure and charging lamps?

Hi Sandy, thank you for your reply. I had a good look at the sockets and even pulled on the centre wire to see what was lurking further down in the socket, but found there are no threads, no grooves for the baynet pins to secure into just plain smooth sides. Could this be another after market issue....

Re: New electrical harness.

Hi Jerry, thank you for your much appreciated detailed report on how your grill lights are wired plain and simple. My front nose cone is made up of 70% DEXTA bottom and from the seem up is of the Super Dexta so I don't have any previous clips to secure the wires, so your expination of how your wires...

Re: How to change oil pan gaskets?

Are we not possibly looking at a bum starter motor, as IlkkaV did mention that he was able to turn the engine by hand? When I checked my oil pressure I removed the oil pressure sensor and fitted a ferguson green and red pressure guage if he can get one, worked okay for me to get an idea of my oil pr...

Good morning Jerry, thank you I did see your modernised wiring diagram, looks good. Jerry could you please if possible put up a couple of pictures of your wiring. Re: New thermostat sender different to original.

I see that there are new thermostats around with the original sensor, but Sparex are still selling the same one that was incorrect for my Dexta. I think they need to correct that issue of theirs. Unless other members have had no issues fitting the Sparex guage?

Re: New electrical harness.

Thanks for your response Brian, may I ask who you bought your new harness from? I bought this harness around 2005 and its been sitting around gathering dust since. I guess I will just have to make up those missing leads myself.

New electrical harness.

Hi Folk, I bought a harness for my Dexta some time back through Sp@#$%. Does the harness get supplied with wires to the front and rear lights or is that left up to you to make up those wire leads? I was only supplied with call it the main harness not the extension wires/leads.
