Re: Simms Minimec 4696 Injector pump.
Thanks for your response Billy, I am aware of the 26 and 20 degree spill lines and those on the pump. I had the tractor running perfectly for a while and then for some reason she would not start. What got into my head  I don't know and took the pump off and messed with the 3 bolts. Could I be c...

Simms Minimec 4696 Injector pump.
Foolishly I messed up the timiming of my pump by loosening the three bolts to adjust the timing and turning the pump nut, now I get a bit of smoke but not wanting to start . Anyone out there who can give me some idea where to start to re align the pump.

Re: New thermostat sender different to original.
Thanks Sandy, you are right re the correct design. No idea where they got this design from. I did note the difference those years back but did not take to much note as the original one still is good. I will keep an eye open for the correct part and keep the replacement as an ornament.

New thermostat sender different to original.
Hi Folk, I bought a replacement thermostat from Sparex around 2005 and have never used it as my original one was still functional. However yesterday I pulled out the new thermstat and the sender unit it totally different and although the nut fits and tightens up the part of the sensor that passes th...

Re: Super Dexta 1963 radiator support help
Unfortunately my Super Dexta section is off a 1963 tractor and the bottom section off a 1961 tractor. I appreciate your pics you posted, I cant quite identify the fixing arrangement and wondered if you could possible take a pic of the actual nose cone and radiator attachment to the brackets off the ...

Re: Super Dexta 1963 radiator support help
Hi Bazzer, absolute pleasure. I did have my nose cone on the tractor the other week but with out the little brackets that bolt onto the radiatora. I could for some reason not work out how they fitted. What I did was to slip the two bolts that can be seen in the pic of the nose cone into the slots of...

Re: Super Dexta 1963 radiator support help
Hi Buzzer, Firstly I must say that my nose cone had a transplant, the top section is of the original Super Dexta and the bottom section is of the Dexta. A bit of a messy job but serves my needs :D Hence my pictures and hope they are clear to you, I am not sure if the radiator support brackets are me...

Re: Leaking Fuel Pipes
Hi Charlie, sorry to hear of your difficulties. Some advice I was given some advice to have the olive setback at least 2mm beyond the pipe/tube end. I did try the rubber olives but in my case the pipe was never tight in the nut . I do hope you manage to sort out the problem.

Re: Thread stripped on fuel bleeder
Brian, I had a similar problem with my bleed bolt on the fuel filter. The reason was that the surface had a bit of a burr, so we filed it down to achieve a smooth surface. Yes and a new alumnium/copper washer and that was the end of my leak.
Good luck Mervyn.
