Jerry,Hey, hole in one! As for adjustments, the height of the cutter bar is simply by changing the height of the skids either end. I don't have a manual, much the pity, but the general principal seems to be to have the bar set slightly ahead of square-on to the tractor, (use the double action screw ...

Is this the beast? I have one with the original maker's plate, it's a MF 327. I haven't found original parts anywhere over here but I'm always looking! It coped pretty well with the things I pointed it at last summer (dry oats, browntop, blue borage and other rubbish)but the small rocks hidden in th...

Hey there, I watched that auction too, glad to hear it went to a good home! Damn good deal you got. I have a full repair manual including 41 pages on the petrol engine, give me a bell on 03 5724044 evenings and you can borrow it to use or copy, I'm only over the hill near Blenheim. Derek.

Ben, Into the cap, the two small items are a spring, and a ball which locates in a race on the spool. With mine the absence of a cover to keep the weather out over time had allowed rust to lock this solid and prevent any movement. I seem to remember a roll pin holds the spring in and after this was ...

Hey Kev, can't see you needing one at home... perhaps just for fun! I certainly make use of a portable in the bush though, great for backtracking to where you had lunch so you can go back for the things you left behind!

How far would you go?

I have been watching our NZ auction site, Trademe, with frustration. There are a number of attractive and cheap Dexta parts and whole tractors, all of which are a 3hr ferry crossing and many 100's of km away, in Northland. Just makes the whole deal too costly. Funny how things just don't seem to cro...

The manual certainly offer a range of figures depending on the year and tyre size @ 2000 rpm, from 27.05 - 27.95kph. The "New" Super was rated at 2250rpm doing 31.44kph. I guess if you want to crank out a few more rpm, who knows! You're in Hamilton? We had a few years in Oto. April... fog season sta...

I'm still about where I was with my wiring. I have the older style starter with two wired terminals and the push-lever start. Does it matter which of the terminals is linked to the solenoid? There does not seem to be any indication that it does on any wiring diagram.

Cheers, Derek.
