Hi Pascal, We had almost the same problem with our AC B. There everything was correct, as it seemed, but it wouldn't run. After much seeking, the magneto seemed to be 360 degrees out of timing, compared to the crankshaft. Remedy was to take it of, turn the engine one full revolution and put it back ...

Hi Keith,

Don't think the exact dimensions Ford used can be found. Use the thickest who look acceptable. A little more can't do any harm.

Hi Emiel, Sounds like an interesing idea. :D Have you already subscribed for Meddo? Will you bring the combine this year? Hello Pascal, Yes, we've subscribed, but we're not planning to take the combine to Meddo. I did a 10 km trip last year to a friend to mow some rhye, and this combine is definite...

Pascal, Silly idea from me. If you drive half the way and Henk the other half. Then drive to my place and I can take your tractor the last part to Meddo when I'm going to my job. A bed to spend the night won't be the problem I think. The other weekend the journey the same way back home. Groetjes met...

Hi,

A E27N box will not fit under a new major. The older box is shorter because the high low range on the new major needs the pto take to to be nearer to the engine.

You could have fitted an older pto box, from a tractor with narrower gears somewhere, compared to your tractor.

Hi,

We had the same problem some years ago. Could get the plunger back in and tick the metall sheet a little bit in so it got a little hold again. Worked for us.

Most suitable is not to touch it and give it a coat of paint to seal it.

Hi Tom,

How low are the outer balls from the ground then?

What I can imagine is that the lift arms at the top have been fitted wrong. Left hand one on the right side and vice versa. That will give trouble like this.

Can you show a picture, that will clear a lot to us.

Well,

I would not have any problem with it, finding this tractor in my shed tommorow when I wake up.

But to be realistic. The tractor looks quite original to me. Paint would spoil it in my opinion.

Hello Brian, According to the serial it is a 1950 tractor. Front hydraulic rams don't give much clue to me. But it should be a loader or the remains from it. I remember reading somewhere "Malcolm Moore PTY Australia" or something similar. My questions: - description of engine - where does the hydrau...

Hello Brian, and others, The play is next week on 13, 14, 15 and 16th may and then the other week on 21, 22 and 23rd of may. Our part of holland is way above the actual sea level. When the water really gets higher (for who believes it will be within 20 years) it might be Arnhem at Sea or something l...

Hello Ben,

"op stelten" is a dutch phrase meaning something like "in panic" or "in trouble". Litteraly it is "on stilts" indeed.

Something different, but nice

Hello all, As you have mentioned, I've not been writing a lot lately on here. One of the reasons is, that I'm busy with an open air drama play in our little town. It is organised by the local mill comittee, who try to gain funds to keep our traditional dutch wind mill fit for future. The story plays...

A real stupid question from me. Is the proof meter giving the correct reading? And otherwise, there is nothing wrong with 800 rpm in my opinion.

Hello Ian, What type of injection pump does your 5610 have? Ours had a CAV distributor pump, which is, according to some specialists, is known for trouble like this. Very hard to get all the air out with bleeding and very sensitive on even the smallest unnoticeable leakages. Ours had starting proble...
