I had the same problem with my gearbox. The nut was loose and the thread on it was damaged. I got a new one in the local New Holland garage. It cost €10 here in Ireland. The storeman said it was a common wearing part and he had sold a lot over the years.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. Would anyone be able to put up a picture of the lift cover and all its parts especially the draft control spring, plunger and all related parts. When I took off my top cover the plunger was missing as was the rod that should be connected to it. It is anyones guess...
