Hello Arno,
can you please tell me how you overcame the excess endfloat in the clutch shafts as mine needs to be reduced due to the common thrust face wear they suffer?

Hello Brockwood, I have two Malcolm Moore Fordson conversions, the first is a grader based on a 1937 N model, I have to get this back on wheels so I can get it into a position where I can do the other work to restore it. Hello again Robert, The cranks in the next model ( K series Trader ) seem the same too, ( same flywheel ) would need to check first though. I think the D series will have changed cranks by that stage, I suppose you have looked at this option as there are plenty of old ones of those around, if you kn...

Re: Camshaft Bearings Technical Information

Hello Robert, I have just had notification that my bearings have arrived, I think the price was about $I50 Australian, I will go to town and get them this morning. I would be cautious about welding a crank, unless you ment metal spraying, even this can have issues if not bonded correctly. If I were ...

There are also different diamaeter bull gears too according to the parts books. 17.65 inches reduced to 17.52 inches. Seems like they needed a larger diameter pinion shafts to be able to hollow them out for the diff lock activating pin and to do this they reduced the corresponding bull gear diameter...

Hello all, a word of warning, there are reasons that the cranks wear badly, firstly is water in the oil and also there is the fuel bleed off lines cracking the lead solder or the re using tof he copper sealing washers. Re: Wishbone position on 6 cylinder Majors

I know what you mean about the small pin, this seems to have been a carry over from the N model and kept, so that front axles could be interchanged, from my quick observations there is very little difference to the mounting holes sizes or their position from the N to the Power Major, but by the time...

Thank you very much, I have made enquiries to get these bearings. It seems to be the front bearing that fails more, probably due to vibration from the front gears, I pulled down three 590E engines and every one had erosion problems in the front bearing, this could be from the gears or or possibly fr...

Block bearing bores streached need original size

Hello everyone, I need to find out the machining size for the main bearing tunnel as the bearing shells were moving from excessive bearing clearance and I am having them closed up and remachined.

Can anyone please tell me the size to have the bearing cap bores in the block machined to?
