Re: Power Major and external hydraulics.

Mathias, Am a bit foxed by your question my friend. The PTO is not connected to anything when raking. The rake is a simple Vee rake and the times are turned by contact with the ground. No power to them at all, and hydraulics only used to raise the rake wheels for transport. Think of a double acroba...

Re: Power Major and external hydraulics.

Good morning and thank you for your time, Emiel. Yes, the rake is a ten wheel Vee rake, ground driven. Hydraulics are only required to raise both wings for transport. Would you say that connecting the input to the valve chest in this manner is better than the connection I am currently using, under ...

That’s quite a wobble on the fan pulley. Is it seated properly on the water pump?
Yeah, will need to look into it. I never touched it so far

Re: question about O-ring power steeering cylinder

Hi,
there's an o-ring sitting under the reaction ring. Did you undo the locking nut? you need to put the nut back on specific tension.

I did mine twice, but still leaking a bit. I suspect this ring or the one that goes around the reaction ring.

I have been working a bit on the Selene lately. Since there were some frost related cracks in the cilinder head, it was time to get it fixed properly. I used some epoxy metal in the past, but no luck on that. https://i.postimg.cc/Ss1VjgSy/20230606-213809.jpg 2 cracks above the manifolds https://i.po...

Is the pto dropbox looking like a NP one?

Normally it's on the triangle behind the gear stick.

Early ones (from june/july? 1963 have it stamped on the flange of the gearbox/backend.

Why do you think your tractor is a new performance?

In the parts books the std. parts section says the following for 20310-S7/8, the part no. of the bolt in question: 5/16"-18x1/2"hex. head bolt cadmium and zinc plated. The ones that go through the side channels as well are 20346-S7/8: 5/16"-18x3/4"hex. head bolt cadmium and zinc plated. Probably UN...

Re: Loose hi/Lo selector lever

Thanks Sandy The range lever is beside the throttle lever and looks just the same only about 90mm longer. The play is definitely between the lever and shaft. There is no gap which would indicate that it is a clamp type lever. If I could get the lever off, maybe I could get a clamp type lever or mod...
