My Brother always said to get a Retired Submarine and bury it in the sand. If a hurricane comes, just close the hatch and stay inside. This morning it is 19F or -8C here. Dandy Dave!

Re: Power Steering Question
First, Clean the filter in the pump and be sure the pump is pumping. Most likely the seals, packing, and O rings in the cylinder are leaking. The valve that actuates the cylinder is in it and works off of the drag link that goes to the steering box. My tractor would not steer at all when I got it an...

Re: New Member and stalled Fordson Major
I had a piece of leaf in my tank that drove me nuts for a time. I finally found it when the tractor refused to start while sitting in the shed. It would sometimes float over the tap and then get sucked down stopping the flow of fuel. The tractor would quit usually while I was on the highway going be...

Re: Find timing marks
Push rods are not a big deal. All you need to do is to be sure that they are in a compression position and then set them with a feeler gage of the proper size. Now, Us guys that have been doing this for years do not even bother with a feeler gage as we know that a 1/4th to a 1/3rd of a turn will giv...

Working on Crawlers... Yep, Get ye some rail road ties. Stack em at least two high. And then run er up on and send a young, agile, and skinny lad under to do the dumb work. Then you get to look and do the smart thinking when he has it apart enough for you to look and see what ever you suspect is wro...

Welcome aboard Matey! :D I haven't been on in a short bit. Looks like your getting good advice already. I'm a yank that just slipped in a big pile when I was given my PM a number of years ago. It came with factory PS, a raised PTO, Two stage clutch, and a double acting hydraulic remote control. I ha...

Britsh Tractor Wreckers Closed.
It is a sad day, The owners of British Tractor Wreckers are both deceased, and the company's doors are closed. The company has provided some us on here with some very hard to get parts in the past. This will surly leave a hole in the hearts and minds of us Fordson Collectors. Dandy Dave! http://www....

Henry Ford never sold them that way. Any thing with crawler tracks was an aftermarket item. Talk with my buddy at the Connecticut Yankee tractor..
