I'm pretty sure that the rear end of the Side arms is got a sleeve in it as it is part of a top link, and will move up and down with axle.

I'm guessing that's how it works

Hi Pascal Your tractor is looking very good, i am impressed with your cousins and uncles work. You look to have another good variation of supporting the front axle properly, i guess the ends are off toplinks? one thing i would say is, i would definantly weld the 'U' pieces to the sidearms arms and n...

I'm really annoyed that both hubs have cracked, especially when i cut out the hubs so the bearing race fitted easily. But it is one of them things. Also I could of got paid to cart many trailer loads of corn with my major today for a forestry man I know, there would of been some steep hills when goin...

I don't know where I got 80s pound from ???. They are 140s pound plus postage, I'm having one made 55 inches long, I have sourced a new hinge which is 59 inches long, so I will need to cut it down, that is 8 pounds. Bearing in mind I don't know the exact workings of these model of engines, and I havnt yet done anything to mine Drop your oil, take the sump off, your oil pump will be just inside, take it apart, but remember or photograph how it goes back together, all are built on same principle but each is slight...

Our internationl B250 oil pressure is not as high as i would like, when i get the chance i want to do some investigative work, im starting with the pump as i suspect the gears inside it may be worn. But as Brian suggests i could be several things. Have you got a book to help you check clearances, me...

Hi Arno Great work and pictures, i am glad you have solved your pivoting problem, although i am struggling to understand what you have done differently to correct it. What uses are you planning for the tractor when complete? and are you planning to use it first before painting, to see of any parts n...

I have put new pins in both ends of the steering arm which we extended 290 mm, the original pins were worn, so this again should improve the steering and reduce the amount of play, I have fitted a new grease nipple as one was missing,I will now be able to service and maintain this part correctly. Wh...

I have been thinking more about your pivoting problem, and will try further to help you :) you say that the axle on its own pivots fine, and connected to the dexta arms it still pivots fine, but when everything is connected to the old foot pegs, the dexta arms try to bend and it will not pivot nicely...

I see you have only tacked together the 'U' pieces and the dexta arms, i would weld them togther fully, all the way around instead of just tacked, and then try again. The axle is very heavy, i suspect that is why you tacked weld has broke. I ran my dexta arms parallel with the new extended side rails...

Good luck, and keep us updated with whichever option you choose to go with, I'm sure a smaller filter with less surface area for the oil to pass through will cause a greater oil pressure
