sent for the cavalry! mate who is a fitter, thinks after getting the unit off, could be the gasket so ordered one along with a new seal kit,we will try this first :scratchhead:

oil leak

Help! Due to ill health tractor not moved for nine months. Now started once again and there is a bad oil leak at the services it is just above the end of the qualtroll lever, it's the opening with the pin in it. Never done this kind of thing before, can anyone help with advice?

fuel filter housing

just received a new fuel filter housing and bowl. it's different, in and out are at either ends so will have to get a new pipe made for one of them.
apart from that, it has no bleeders,can anybody tell me is this ok and will it work alright.thanks in anticipation :curse:

been missing for a long time

due to various things, i've been missing from the forum. Tried a number of times to get in, all to no avail. Thanks to help from Mathais i'm now back. due to heart trouble, my super dexta never moved from June last year til now. Charged battery but just a clunk when trying to start, tried jump leads...

There's a bracket at the filler cap fixed to the nosecone.
I've no cowl and topped grass often with no problems :clap:

20/30 oil fine for all.
when I restored my baby, the clutch was siezed, tried constant press and release, all that happened was the main drive plate was ripped to bits, so a clutch rebuild was required :cry:

I made a spacer to fit on the wing behind the bracket and it works perfectly :clap:
