sorry been a while getting back to you due to login issues but it would appear your questions have been answered by stevenb. just for your information our 1970 K600 should by our understanding have a 338 engine and four speed gearbox but has gained a 380 with a five speed ( not that 1st is ever need...

yes from the film you clearly have to hold it the thrust bearing wouldnt stand being out for to long any way i think the peddal may still be there as the link part no 9755 is slotted to allow interaction with something else

I am probably missing some thing but most log splitters i have seen have there own control valve with its own blow off fed from the tractor it needs turning down so that it pops and not the tractors it is probably set for later tractors that run at higher pressures i had that problem on the double r...

it may still be a double acting valve its commen on a double acting ram in a single acting appliaction to run a dump pipe for the unused side of the valve and a vent line for the unused side of the ram b
