Re: County Crawler
Main gear lever was jammed. It was the sliding axle beneth that was rusted. Got it free with some heat and penetrating oil... worked it for an hour or two and now I can shift it with the lever. Got the brakes loose, and I moved it 1 meter forward under its own power... very happy :-) next thing will...

Re: County Crawler
Got the crawler engine running. Had to remove the front hydraulic pump. The control valve for the blade was stuck in the "raised" posistion, and the piping was rusted through at least one place. The control valve is sitting inside the tank, never seen that before. Engine is the later FL type with me...

Interior is as good as it can get for an old truck...
low/high range is on the gearstick as you describe - so only the splitter is the difference

Hello Frode, Well, you should not get out and make pictures. I was just wondering whether you had some more pictures of the volvo available. Cool about these volvos are: the three wiper arms, the engine sound, and the brown 70s interior. Rgds I took these before driving it back to my friend. http:/...

Nice catch Frode!!! I see its still got at least one of the engine side panels on it yet! Granny just walked by whining "why does Frode get all the good stuff", (I'm not sure but I think she may be mocking me again) Pat Both panels are there! And they are nice and straight too :-) Still envy your S...

Thanks, Emiel!
The crawler is complete, heavy duty drawbar, no hydraulics on the rear.
The F7 is standing outside, I borrowed it from a friend. What do you want pictures of?

a 1200km roundtrip got me this. Plate says 4/BD and serial 10010. I guess it is a County Full Track Mark IV with Bray Dozer, and number 10 in production. Anyone got some inputs? Been standing outside for 20+ years. Engine have been changed for a FL-type, and it is turning. Main gear lever is jammed....

Now that's real cool, literally. I must remember to gaze at your pics tomorrow whilst we are sweltering in 35 to 40C heat -- it might cool me down a bit. But tell me, how are the front [bogey] wheels attached to the tractor? Try as I might your pics 4 & 5 don't appear to show any axle. Pavel I'll t...

Yes, I have never seen front skis! Mainly because, there isn't any snow in the Philippines, just cold weather on december to january. I think the skis would come in handy if you don't want to replace the front bearings! What did the Super-4 and the "other fergie" do at the back of the 3rd pic? I ha...

Sweet ride Frode! who makes that kit, Iv'e seen them on a few other tractors as well. Pat Thanks! Everything was made in Norway, I guess in the 50's. yes, 3 ton is what it's rated for. This was a typical forestry setup in Norway, before the larger tractors were availble.Bensdexta wrote:Will she pull 3 tons? Handy for logging!frode wrote:Its a 3 ton winch on the back.

I've seen those tracks on Dextas.
Is that a crane you have on the back?
Its a 3 ton winch on the back. I think there were a boom available to use if for a kind of crane (for loading a timber trailer).

Re: Dads ploughmaster at harvest
Several Ploughmaster 75's for sale in Norway now. Around £3000 will get you one... bargain!! Much in the way of 95's out there? and what sort of money are they asking? 6-cylinders are very rare. We have a lot of counties, mainly 4-pots them too. I seldom see Roadless tractors for sale. Dont...
