Re: Painting my Major
The only time you will notice any difference in shades of colour will be for adjacent panels, eg nose cone and bonnet. If the axle or mud guards are slightly different, you'll never notice.

Re: Painting my Major
I wouldn't buy all your paint at once. You will probably want to do the painting in batches, as you derust and prep the surface. Prep is everything. So buy a few tins to see how you get on. Enamel or 2 pack - take your choice. Enamel is easier to apply, arguably more 'original' but perhaps not as du...

Mr Funnel Fuel Filter
Is anyone using one of these fuel filters, said to separate out debris and water from petrol or diesel?

Re: Dexta lift lever jammed
If the lift lever on the quadrant is jammed, it's usually seized from lack of use. Remove the hydraulic lift cover I'm afraid, and free it off.

Re: Urgent - Fan Belt
That might work, but would it upset the belt's alignment with the crank pulley?
Alternatively try and source slightly better formed lower hose. EG ask Bertie Dunlop to see if he can find you a better one.

Re: Urgent - Fan Belt
I would just get a fan belt that fits, and not worry too much about whether it's 'correct' or not. Ref lack of clearance of the belt on the bottom rad hose, yes that is a common problem. The repro hoses are a bit variable, so it's pot luck what you get. I solved the problem but cutting a small piece...

Re: dexta check chains?
I wouldn't advise doing any big turns with the topper on the ground, unless it has castoring wheels - small steering adjustments only. You could bend something. I raise my topper before turning at the headland for the return run. I run my topper with substantial stabiliser chains, one on each side, ...

Re: Loader fitting on Dexta's
Pretty certain that the front loader mounting plate bolts onto the underside of the front axle carrier. Nowhere else it can go, as clearly it can't attach to the front axle itself.

Re: Loader fitting on Dexta's
There's no additional adapter plate between engine and bell housing. The bell housing flange projects out a little with the loader bracket holes you describe. Yes the rear loader brackets bolt under the mudguard bolts.

Re: Loader fitting on Dexta's
I fear you might struggle with that, unless you make your own frame.
The later Horndraulic loader that most Dextas had, bolts at the front to the clutch bell housing, and at the rear to brackets under the rear axle.

The enginenumber is 09B 710586. This makes it a februari / march 1962. So it was delivered one year later at the neighbor from Dies. It could be shipped without wheels and with blue fenders and got it's wheels one year later in the grey colour. :scratchhead: That tractor number makes it one of the ...

It's good and has quite a few followers.
But FB tends to be rather unstructured, it's pretty much just a blog. For finding info FTP is hard to beat

A couple of other forums I'm on fund photohosting by asking for a voluntary donation on items found or sold using the site - they are always in surplus but if this fails there is provision to call for a top up donation to fill the gap. Re: Throttle parts needed
You may be able to drill a suitable hole (actually two holes) in the air cleaner to take the throttle cross shaft, but it may be simpler if you can find another standard air cleaner.
I don't think you need to replace the bulkhead.
