Re: Bonnet fitting
Hi, No I haven't yet. There is no adjustment in the bottom bolts, so that can't be the problem. It is as far forward as it can go on the top slides where it attaches to the radiator. I am a bit lost and fed up with it to be honest, and don't really know what to do, other than cut my shiny new nose c...

Hi Ben.
If I had just bought them, I would do, however I bought them over a year ago, so might be pushing my luck a bit now

Well I think we can conclude that it's best not to get the grill retainers from Ag******!
I have seen some that look ok on eBay, but have not bought them so don't know if they work ok or not

Re: solinoid or starter?
To bypass the solenoid put a screwdriver or something temporarily across the two terminals on the solenoid.

Re: Super major power steering kit
Hi, Just my thoughts on this interesting subject. On the belt and front pulley, you will indeed need to take off the universal joint attached the the pulley to get the belt on, and while you're doing it I would fit a new fan belt too ;) If you mount your steering pump first you can use a piece of st...

Re: Brake cross shaft oil leak
Hi everyone, I have today removed the brake cross shaft, and the seals that should stop leaks, to find that the seals are about 1mm too large! No wonder they leaked oil! They were from the well known A******e supplier, who seem to have their fair share of issues with poor spares..... Too late to sen...

Brake cross shaft oil leak
Hi. I seem to be leaking oil quite badly from my brake cross shaft on my 1958 Dexta despite replacing the oil seals.
Any ideas why this should be?

Water leak
Hi, I have just about finished restoring my 58' Dexta however, I am noticing that there is water coming from the bolts that hold the exhaust manifold on and also from behind the combustion chamber caps  I'm thinking here that this must be head gasket related, I have totally rebuilt this engine,...

Re: New member needs timing advice
I think you may have answered your own question with the #3 injector not spraying....
I would swap injector number 3 for number two temporarily and see if it is the injector or the pump at fault.
The course of action after that will depend upon the result from this test.

No, it's definitely a Dexta bonnet, not a Super Dexta, it's got the lower piece towards the tank end....
