A fix for .015 O.D. main bearings
If any of you have ever had to rebuild a block that has been lined bored to .015 oversize O.D. main bearings you will have little choices for repair, and the norm is to get a replacement block because oversize O.D. bearings are harder to find than hens teeth. (Do not confuse these with the normal un...

OK, my turn to share a few stories about engines running away. A friend was pulling in competition with his JD, someone told him he needed to run the engine looser by removing a bunch of the rings from the pistons, it sucked oil out of the crankcase and took off , he got it shutdown quickly by slapp...

Start it up, crack loose and then tighten each injector line one at a time keeping body parts clear of the fuel squirting out. You should hear a noticeable...

Bob, sorry for the kick in the gonads, but if the soldering job on the banjo fitting is your handy work you may be better off replacing the line. You can cut a short piece of the original line with the fitting on it (using a tubing cutter) that attaches to the back of the dash as this is a oddball f...

+.015 main bearings
Does anyone know where I can get .015 oversize O.D. main bearings for a major block that has been line bored? I have two cranks to pick from a .020 under and a standard grind.
cam bearings would be nice as well but I can live with the ones that are in it.
Thanks.
Pat
