In these gasket sets sometimes more types of close related engines are covered. You might find this Particular seal you don’t need.

Undo the 8 bolts that hold the axle trumpet on the rear casting and turn it 180°, the holes on top are the same as the bottom

That’s exactly what I did once. Works well. Don’t forget to chase the threads to clean them. 70 years of debris might be in these top holes.

Only the hubs abs bearings should be changed. Stub axle is the same. Bearings are same dimensions as well.

I used loctite 510 with succes the last time. Make you use a very tiny amount. You don’t want your liners to be to high or not seating properly.
