Good morning Commander Thank you for your helpful information and advice. I googled the KBS Coatings site and was very impressed with the four videos that one can view online of the complete operation from start to finish on how to apply their product, really worth viewing. Now I can understand why ...

Hi Aussie Thank you very much for the information on POR 15. Unfortunately like the Red Kote POR 15 is not available in this God forsaken country of ours. Why I don't know. I am told that the Silverton radiator franchise are the only company that do the lining of tanks, and you know how much those g...

Fuel tank lining

Hi I removed my dexta fuel tank the other day and the inside of the tank looked like it may need to be line to help preserve it. I have read about RED COTE on the WEB and it sounds rather remarkable. Has anyone on the board done any lining in the past :?: . Sorry about all the questions I'm asking l...

Well done Dexta61 hope you have lots of fun. Brian, my dexta also discharges a bit of smoke but not as much as discribed by Dexta 61. She starts very quickly so I'm not sure whether she has ever had ether at the previous owner. If I can remember correctly someone reported earlier that hard work migh...

Hi Terry Maybe a silly question, is it not perhaps the lever that is slightly off or the grove that the cotter pin slides into warn and as a result you are not able to get it quite square on? I am presently looking at my set up which is loose and can't really see how yours should not square up. I'm ...

Well done Terry, sounds like you did a good job there. Please would you be kind enough to explain how you secured the rivets as I may need to do the same some day. Also what tools were required.

I have not looked at my brakes yet but they definately need adjusting.

Kind regards

Leveling box thrust bearing

Good morning Chaps I am busy restoring my leveling box and had to replace the thrust bearing which was kind of worn. I made the usual mistake of not taking note of how the thrust bearing was origanally placed and am now confused :? as to which way round it should be positioned. Pleeeeease can...

Hello Brian Thanks for the confirmation, I vaguely thought it must have been something like that. Ironically though few of the tractors here today have long air cleaners, seem that they are tucked away under the bonnet. Looks like I will have to find a long pipe myself to keep with those times. Just...

Hi Brian I'm refering to the shaft from the leveling box that turns into the fork that lifts the right lower link aswell as the shaft and fork assembly that lifts the left lower link. When they are turned into each and I pull on them there is a slight bit of play. I personally don't think it is righ...

Hydraulic yoke and fork wear

Hi, please can someone tell me whether there should be any movement between the yoke and fork of the hydraulic lift set up. Mine are worn but not too bad, what remedy can we apply to fix the movement. Are heli coil inserts an option :?:

Hello Aldo Here in South Africa we use celcius to measure our temperature and 100*c is boiling point. I take it you may be getting a little confused with *f and *c. If my memory serves me correctly the Dexta runs normally at about 85 - 90*c. I may be slightly out. 110 - 120* to me sounds a little ho...

Good day Mark

I had a similar issue when I had to have my Dexta weighed as she was not registered, I bought a temparary licence from the traffic licencing dept. and drove her to the weigh brigde. A lot cheaper. Shoot me down if it is a stupid suggestion.

Good luck
