Re: roadless/selene axle diagram

Ok but should it not be possible to simply turn the diff. Around ?

On roadless there is a extension axle for the pto ,
Do they also use that on selene , when the 4 wd box is not so
thick ?

Re: Roadless width

Yes it is longer than normal ,30 cm longer .

So I have to convert that to , even thoug that mine also
is a 6 cyl ,mine has the normal oil pan .

I was also thinking about cutting and welding the axel
to make it shorter .

Re: Roadless width

Thanks for the reply. But a roadless tractors frontaxel is shortned so that the wheelhubs has the same width as the rear end (153 cm c-c, outer frontwheel 163 cm )) And the left joint is mounted directly on the diff. Housing This one is wider , so the outerside of the front wheels are the same as th...

Re: roadless conversion

Yes, the ratio changed in the 1963 New Performance Supers to give more gears at PTO speed. We had one customer who we had to swap crown wheel and pinion every ploughing season to the 4.4 ratio and then, in Spring back to the 3.3. With all Roadless it is the front tyre size that matters and, in theo...

Re: roadless conversion

Ok thanks

But if the roadless come from a 61 super major ,
And put on a 62 rear end, then the ratio should be correct.

Since the ratio dont change until 63 (n/p grey blue )
Am i not correct ?

roadless conversion

hi

on the super major ,there is different gear-ratios. Before 1963 ratio (orange blue) and after 1963(n/p) where it wass 4,375-1 and optional 3,5-1 .

does that give any problem if I want to put it together with a roadless kit ??

Re: Information on conversion

It looks like you have found a Danish conversion made under
the name "Skovgaard" they where also made as 4 wd
versions as both equal and unequal wheeled like county and
roadless.

Hi
Did Ransomes only make machinery for Fordson , or were they also in ferguson colour ?
The reason I'm asking is that I saw a ransomes looking spring tine cultivator but the colour looked grey .

Re: what to do???

In my Forson literature the rear tires came in a choice of optional sizes. From what I have seen, both are right. With so few hours I believe I would leave the tractor alone myself also. Nice find. :D Dandy Dave! Thanks Dandy Dave. in my instruktion book for the traktor both tire sizes are shown , ...
