Hi Frans Just thinking out loud with some of this this have you tried turning it by hand with the clutch pedal down :?: . Was wondering if somethings happened to the input shaft bearings or something there and locked the motor, because it can't turn the shaft into the gearbox, could be the clutch co...

Hi Pat
Nice to see her running, fired right up just like she should . if your clip had been a bit longer with more smoke, I would of sworn you had an Allison v12 air craft motor running in your shop. She barks like one .
Regards Robert

Forgot to ask I have a mystery lever I'm hoping you can explain. It's on the right side of the console directly under the throttle lever and moves up/down. It engages something but I have no idea what. Hi From what you say if you follow that lever it goes into a box under the fuel tank. It is the h...

At times you have to make a choice when doing the best you can with the tools availabe if you are going to get a job done. The major was going to roll the Volvo much more easily pulling from the top link than from the drawbar, its a mathematical fact. Achieving the result without mishap while being...

Hi I helped a guy build a forklift based on a major many years ago, to reverse drive you just take the differential carrier out flip it over so the crown wheel is on the opposite side of the pinion and put it back together and make sure it's shimmed and pre loaded correctly  . Hi Stu I have some of those 2700 series motors here. I guess you mean that hour meter pokes out on a pedestal that kinda points up and down looking from head to sump :?: . Nice catch. 8) I see the Power Major has a raised PTO. I do not see a Live Drive Badge on the grill. After running it on the topper, you should have figured out if it is a live drive or not. Kev, The Fuel Filter Elements are as I quoted previously, and the Oil Filter Element will be a Fram CH810PL. If you have trouble getting the Fram Filter, then a Fleetguard LF599 is okay to use. But, you must have it in the wire cage. Hi Barry As Kev is asking filter questions and you seem to be the...
