e27n battery lead size

does any body no the correct size of the cables to the battery to starter motor leads ive been told 15 mm is that the size can any body help with the sizers

Hi Keith,

Don't think the exact dimensions Ford used can be found. Use the thickest who look acceptable. A little more can't do any harm.

Keith,

I can't find anything on the size of the battery leads. I have a couple of original leads here and they are not overly thick. The original earth lead was not wire, it was 8 strips of thin metal, approx. 1 inch wide with a terminal soldered on one end. The other end just has a hole drilled for a bolt.

In a previous post you asked the size of the battery. I have now found the correct information and it is :-
12 volt 57AH; 9 Plates per cell; Length 13 1/16 inch;
Width 6 13/16 inch; Height 9 1/4 inch; Approx. Weight 63 lbs.
