Hi all
Chasing the correct oil for my e27n with p6
I have been chatting with Barry m and he has given me the following info
Gear Box/ Rear Transmission - Mobil Trans HD50 or Valvoline TRA Gear Oil 90.
I'm having trouble getting this oil where I live, do castrol or CASE IH make a gear oil as a replacement for above
Cheers
Engine oil
Re: Engine oil
Finding 90 transmission oil suitable for a Fordson seems almost impossible these days, will try phoning Valvoline on Monday re TRA 90.
Have been using Gulf Western Torque 50, but feel it is on the light side, especially when used in an older machine.
Used SAE 90 in a Power Major for 40 years. Differential and hydraulics didn't give any trouble.

Re: Engine oil
Back here in the States we go to Tractor Supply. They always have 90 weight which is commonly used in 8-N, 9-N, and 2-N Ford tractors. Not sure if you have a similar store in your part of the world? If nothing else, I would think that your New Holland dealer may have it, or be able to get it. Dandy Dave.
Have a Fordsonful day Folks!

Re: Engine oil
My local oil supplier (Opus oils) mixed me up some 90 grade transmission oil, maybe one of your local suppliers can do the same.
