First Hello to all,
I hope with you some answers to bekommen.Ich have a Fordson N Bj.1938. It starts and runs great, but after a certain time he goes out, and will not start again after cooling.
Is this due to the hot gas? Air and gasoline remains the same.
Have you a few Info`s? Thanks in advance.
Greeting Dirk

Re: Fordson N
You could be experiencing coil break down in the magneto, or a bad condenser. When it does it, check to see if you have spark.
Hope this helps - SR

Re: Fordson N
When it will not start are you able to turn it over by hand? Does it turn smoothly?

Re: Fordson N
Hi, I have checked the magnet. Coil has a winding end, why he goes out after some time. I'll let wind the coil again.
Thanks for your advice.

Re: Fordson N
Well done Dirk - that could cause the problem.
Is the broken wire somewhere that you could solder and then insulate the joint with something like epoxy resin ?
Not a permanent repair but would confirm if this is the only problem.
