Fordson N cam/mag timing

Hi , I'm hoping someone can help with a diagram ( or instructions )
for cam/mag timing for the above , it was a hedgerow tractor I
mentioned on the site some while ago and I've been some time
freeing off everything but eventually I was ready to try to start it,
I did get it to run after some effort and it sounded ok , it ran for
about 5 minutes ,died out ,and has never run since , I swapped the mag with my E27N ( after running it first ) then put the N mag on the E27N and started that again, the mag timing ( I had paint marked it and tdc before trying to start it ) was still the same , I convinced myself that it must be the camshaft keyway gone and have stripped the front from the engine to check but now I'm even more confused as the there are two very clear O marks on the cam gear and the mag. gear and a very faint line on the cam gear , none of them working out at all , i.e with the O's together the engine isn't tdc and the faint line isn't lined with anything , forgot to say that after an aching arm we towed it and after a while it was half -firing , white smoking and eventually petrol came out the exhaust , a timing diagram or advice would be much appreciated although I still can't see how it ran then seems to have the valve timing out now ? any idea's ? regards Tim.

Just adding that I've now dropped the sump to pull the crank gear and its key (ok), I've checked the cam key ( ok ) and I've found an O on the crank gear now ( after a good clean ) in line with the keyway which is upright at tdc , but still nothing seems to add up or line up , help !!

Hi everyone , I thought I'd reply to my own post in case it helps anyone in the future , I never got anywhere with the timing marks,
they just didn't work , I just used basic's of tdc and valve change
to time it , ( after all it is probably one of the simplest engines made ! ) what had stopped it running was putting hydraulic oil in the air cleaner instead of engine oil , I guess it was thin enough to be sucked up ! but as it cost me many hours I thought I'd post the
reason. I'll also try and post a couple of before and after photo's.
