I have a wide wing model N serial number P34825 and would like to know its age. I have the fuel tank off to clean out and de rust and notice that one end it says "Ford Motor Company. England. Made in England. The other end it says : Ford motor company, England. made in the Irish free state. What is the explanation ?

This would be an early "waterwasher" fuel tank with the English end being at the dash board end and the irish end would be to use the old surplus ends up, sometimes the baffles inside are made out of surplus ends as well.
It would be nice to see some pictures, to see some of the rest of the tractor, air cleaner, manifold etc to tell its age fully as the fuel tank is an easily interchangeable item.

I'm still trying to work out how to post pictures ! The air cleaner is an oil bath, not water, and the manifold is not correct, it has an E27N manifold fitted , otherwise everything looks genuine.
