My P6 has a rectangular badge mounted by two screws and a backing plate, reading "37-41 Diesel".
I have not seen these badges on any ther P6, except those from Victoria, Australia.
A photo posted by Halftrack Hank shows a P6 with the badge, as well as Brian's photo of a P6 taken here in Victoria, with pressurised radiators.
So my question is, what do they mean? is it something to do with Victorian sold tractors?
thanks, E45NP6

Re: 37-41 Diesel Badge
E45NP6,
The badge you refer to (37-41) is the Horse Power of the tractor. 37 is Belt H.P. and 41 is Drawbar H.P. They would have been fitted on most P6's regardless of what State they were assembled in, as they show in the 1951 AUstralian Parts Supplement as fitted to all P6's.

Re: 37-41 Diesel Badge
Thanks BarryM for the answer, it makes alot of sense now.
What was the go with the "MAJOR DIESEL POWERED" painted logo on the fuel tank?
It's no longer present on mine but i can still see some of the red, white and yellow paint.
Thanks

Re: 37-41 Diesel Badge
E45NP6,
Kero and Diesel Tractors had Decals on them. The Kero was MAJOR and the Diesel was MAJOR DIESEL POWERED. These Decals are available as a Reproduction.
