Another CLM conversion

Post by Eric Schulz »

This is an interesting looking tractor. Previously I have shown our LC2 conversion, which uses a chassis to hold it all together. This one is unit construction.
The bore and stroke of the 285 is 85 x 300mm. Power is the same, 32hp, but at 1100rpm instead of 1200.
The tractor is either an F or industrial N. Note the non-standard pulley, unusual wheels and air start and how tall it is. A 2 stroke, 2 cylinder Fordson is odd enough, but an air start one even more so. A must to have for any collection!

Hi Eric,

It is just amazing to see what engine conversions people have been doing to Fordsons throughout history. I consider myself to be very lucky to have a P6, a L4 and a standard petrol kero E27N. It is only through reading your posts on this board that I have even heard of Perkins Leopard and CLM conversions. Keep the information coming.

Regards, Frank.
