Hi all,
New to the forum ... I am after some help I have recently become the proud owner of 2 P6 engined E27N's ones a runner and the other needs re-building. I am just on with sorting the dash boards out (due to the bad weather) I've got new heater and starter buttons and NOS ammeters, But now I could do with some help ... My 1st question is, will the combined light/key switch from a later diesel Major fit the P6 dash? before I go and buy a new switch and 2, Can anyone tell me what the correct type of voltage regulator is that fits inside the p6's dash?

any help appreciated
Carl

Hi Carl,
The regulator should be a Lucas Type RB 106/1 which is the sort with screw terminals they are still available but I should stick to the screw type rather than the later RB 106/2 which has spade connectors. You might not have enough room for them.
The early E!A majors had a similar switch but I can't remember if the Power Major and later was the same, the key type certainly was not.
Hope this helps

Hi there,
Many thanks for the info and advice on the regulator, A friend of mine had a spare key switch from a super major to let me try, but they are a lot smaller than the hole pattern in a genuine P6 dash so, we are still on the look out for any suggestions to find the correct type to finish the job off
