Head gasket

Anyone know where in oz I can get a new head gasket for a e27n ? While on the cylinder head subject does anyone know the tensions for the head bolts as the manual I have for the tractor has no info on tensions

Can't help with the head gasket, I had to make my own last time I pulled the head. Just fiber (no copper) but it seems to be holding fine. Now one can purchase them from the UK without much trouble.

As far as the head bolts go, I hear that "good and tight" is just about right.

Look at the bolt, put a box end wrench to the head and give a good pull. (Sequentially around the entire head of course).

If it leaks, (straight water at first even if you plan to run coolant) tighten 'em up a bit.

If you break off a bolt. Oops!

Hurrah for the she'll be right method . Looks like I'm gonna have to call the old 20 parts co may as well get some other bits and pieces while I'm at it

You can always refer to a bolt size torque chart. Dandy Dave!
