E27n Generator

Post by fizza »

I'm sure it has been asked before...how to polarize the Lucas generator on my tractor.
:scratchhead:

Take the gen off, or take off the fan belt, remove leads from the gen, and then with a pair of jump leads Negative on the big connector (D) on gen, and then just touch the body of the gen with the Positive lead for a few seconds (no longer)
Don't just leave it in the shed, Fordson's are made to work, so take it out and work it....!

I'm sure you don't need to disconnect anything.

Just a jumper between BAT and Field at the regulator will do. Our E27ns are positive earth, but that's all covered at the regulator terminals.

An internet search will provide hours of confusion... but worth the trip.
