Solex Carburettor

HI, I am new to the forum, with a real barn find TVO/Petrol E27N. It has a solex carb on it which seems to be an after-market fitting, presumably for fuel economy. It was marketed or the system made by William Elliot of 48 High Street, Hawick. (Solex were French I believe?) I got it running for the first time on Saturday so now now that it works (not only the carb!). Does anybody know anything about them please? I can find no reference to them. When I have worked out how to attach a photograph I will post one. JohnC

This is the carb I was talking about. Has anyone seen one please? I am having trouble with it not sustaining.
