Fordson F Fender Color

What Color were the fenders on the Model F . I was power washing the tractor and the fenders were Red. ?? I thought they were Gray!

Should be grey like the rest of the tractor but people can paint them any colour much like we do our cars.

Are they actually F model wings or N model?

I believe it to be a 25 to 27 because the pistons have a lot of oil holes chamfer top . I could find the bill of sale that my dad and uncle bought it . The fenders in the picture we found was black and white the fenders are the same as the tractor . that confirms that . Someone had extra red paint and painted them red .
the fenders have rectangler tool box covers .

What is the serial number? That would seal the deal on the year.

The rectangular tool boxes are the earlier style, 1924-25 I think. The later ones had inverted triangular lids.

yes unless its an N they should be grey. No other colour was used unless the dealer painted it. I have a red fordson from France but expect it was assembled by the dealer rather then factory which allowed them choose the paint colour.

I can't make out any numbers on he engine ? The fenders are rectangle doors at the tool box .
