Hi,
I am trying to locate some gland packing to suit a petrol E27N water pump.
Can anyone advise a supplier in Australia or the dimensions of the packing?

Re: E27N Waterpump gland packing
Hi,
I've had good experience with the onse supplied by Old20 partss company.
Basically it is just a greased rope. And you have to accept a little leakage every now and then,.

Re: E27N Waterpump gland packing
I was holding back, but yes, just a greased length of string.
I've got cotton string well rubbed with graphite mixed water pump grease.
Making sure the gland nut spins comfortably in it's threads goes a long way to getting a good 'feel" when tightening up.
By the way, I use "water PUMP grease" for the gland fitting, but general purpose grease on the support bushing out front. There is a difference!
(Not that waterpump grease wouldn't be fine on the outboard bearing)
