Removing a fuel pump

Hi Folks,
It's looking like I need to remove the pump from my engine. Luckily there's a place near me that can re-condition the pump.

I believe that there's some timing marks on engine for taking pump off. I think I found a manual but may be too late as my engine is 1954.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a manual or as any advice on removing pump( for my mechanic)
