Had a pleasant spring afternoon splitting logs from the fallen trees the old Major has been hauling out of the woods and loading them into a friends trailer (Ironically we don't burn wood due to the fire risk living under thatch) I went down to the gate to see him out onto the road and was treated to the sight of a passing loader with about five Dexta's aboard (looked like a delivery of new tractors) heading toward Norwich bound no doubt for the R N Showground and this weekends rally.
I expect Brian is busy getting his exhibits organised - I'm still not certain if I can make it but if I can it will be Sunday - its a big site and there's not been much traffic here so I guess its a bit remote for most folk 'of this parish'

Hey Brian
Just seen the latest F&FM with report on the Costessey show - some nice pics including the trailed Ransome combine (I take it thats the one you've been asked to pull?) which I see is owned by dear old Billy Hammond, used to give him the occasional hand with his Burrell donkeys years ago - one of nature's gents
Am pure blue now - the Nuffield moved on last week (only to the other side of the village) although not a tractor, this was slightly counterbalanced by another Allen Scythe arriving, total now between 4 1/2 and 5 depending how optimistic I'm feeling over one of the bitzas
Keep yew a dewun
Rick

Hi Brian
I hope I'm right that this years Norfolk Showground Tractorfest is April 11th & 12 th as I recall seeing it in one of the comics, having told my neighbouring farmer (who is aware of RNS prices

) Do you happen to know what the adults entry price is for the show or where I might find it on the interweb ??
Thanks
(Unlikely to be taken as a birthday treat on Sat but if I'm good I may get a late pass for the Sunday !)
