Post by Nick »

Hopefully today is fire-up day! Im just wondering what the valve clearances should be? And i assume you adjust it with no pressure on the valve?

0.015" Inlet.
0.012" Exhaust with Rotator caps.

Use "Rule of Nine" when setting.

Valve No.1 fully open (down). Set No 8.
Valve No 2 fully open (down). Set No 7. and so on.

Numbers must always add up to Nine.

Hi Brian,

I am getting the valves of my 590e setted too.
Does it goes on the same way, except for no. 8 will be no. 12?

No. 1 will be the first valve of cylinder no. 1, I guess?
Best regards,
Pascal
