Hey guys n gals, do any of you know if the three point hitch arms from a power major (or any other model of Fordson) would fit on a 1961 super major?
I have a chance to buy a complete tractor for parts, but I believe it to be a power major, and I have a super major.

Thanks for the replies guys, I just wanted to post a picture I have of it, and again wanted to triple check that pieces from this tractor (particularly the 3 point hitch stuff) wont (or more hopefully will!) work for my tractor!

Thanks again too Robert, if this deal will not work, i will definatly be hounding ya haha. Its been pretty wet here too but for the past few days we have had a JD 9610 out in our oats field, so it must be getting dryer!

That is a rather nice Fordson Major Diesel not a Power Major. It would be a shame to break her to build a Fordson ASP.
None of the parts would be right for a Super Major and you will have destroyed an original tractor.

I agree with Brian and Super, to good of condition to break for parts. What is wrong with the Major?Brian wrote:That is a rather nice Fordson Major Diesel not a Power Major. It would be a shame to break her to build a Fordson ASP.

Im not sure whats wrong with it, but its for sale for CHEAP and says its for parts. If the parts would have fit, i would have no problem parting this one out! (you guys hate me now dont ya?:D)
Unfortunately, I dont really need a complete project as i have a few others that are much much more rare then a major, I had just wanted this one to get the 3 point hitch arms I am missing, so i can use some 3 point hitch equipment, thanks again for all the replies!

Wished I was closer to you, I have a Major in parts and do not believe I will ever use the lift arms. I believe shipping would cost too much because of the weight but it might save a nice looking Major. Anyway good luck on your projects.preppypyro wrote:Im not sure whats wrong with it, but its for sale for CHEAP and says its for parts.
