i have a new performance back end and gearbox with a 6 cylinder engine.
problem i have is there is no number plate.
Are there any markings on back end that i can give dvla to get correct reg number.

So you've built up a modified assembly
You should have the date code markings on the castings.
That is all you can collect.
The engine etc., not being 'original' will not match.
I'm afraid that, as you do not have a current registration prior to the modification, the only thing you can do is collect ALL of the casting date codes, and such like, that you can, plus ANY proof of 'legal ownership' and accept that you've got 'a bit of work cut out'.
Also, no matter what you do or who you go through, you will not get an 'age related' number. You are going to get a 'Q' number, just like any 'special'.
