54 petrol/ Kero FORDSON MAJOR THERMASTAT

Hi Guys,
Picking your brains again, I notice the 54 petrol/ Kero FORDSON MAJOR I have does not have a thermastat in it. Should I be putting one in or just leave it out.

You are better off to have one as it keeps the engine at an even operating temperature. Dandy Dave!
