New SM fuel tank

Hi,
has anyone experienced mis-alignment whilst fitting a brand new SM fuel tank? My instrument casing looks way out on top of the tank, i also suspect the throttle rod is tight against the tank too, just wondering if anyone else has come across this.

I would measure some reference points on the new tank and compare them to the old one. If they are different, contact the seller, explain the problem, and ask him to send you one that fits correctly.
