upper link 1955 FMD

Post by leeroy »

I've got the upper link bracket for the automatic clutch release but not the unit. Is there any reason I cannot use this as my top link? Is the standard support bracket smaller-I have noticed my upper link is to small.Or is The Major a different category size than what I have for the Ford 3600,9N,and 2120 that all use the same upper link?
Thanks! Leeroy

Major is Category 2, larger than the Category 1 on your other tractors.

You can use your top link with a small pin for light work, but your top link may be too short in a lot of cases because of the different link arm length.
