Strange lever

Hello all,

Could anyone tell me what the long lever on the left side of the tractor is use for? (second pic)
Sorry can't put the picture in here, just a link.

Oops now I see it's an E27N, so I'm on the wrong board.

The long straight lever is the gear lever, the vertical silver lever is the hydraulic lift lever.
